Leave the city behind and spend a full day exploring Tamborine Mountain’s national parks, rainforest walks, waterfalls and scenic lookouts, with the flexibility to visit wineries, cafés and local attractions along the way.

This hop on hop off experience includes return transport from Gold Coast and on-demand local shuttle access on the mountain, and National Park entry fees, making it ideal for guests planning to visit protected natural areas where park fees apply.

After a comfortable morning pickup from selected Gold Coast locations, relax on the drive to the Scenic Rim before arriving at Tamborine Mountain, a cool, green plateau known for its rainforest trails, waterfalls, lookouts, wineries and the cafés and boutiques of Gallery Walk.

On arrival, you’ll transfer to the Hop On Hop Off service, which loops between key stops throughout the day. You’re free to design your own itinerary, spending as much or as little time as you like at each location.

Hop off to explore rainforest walks and national park lookouts, enjoy lunch at a café, browse local shops, or visit wineries and distilleries. Attractions such as the Glow Worm Caves and Rainforest Skywalk can also be visited during your free time (entry not included unless added separately; pre-booking recommended).

When you’re ready to move on, simply re-join the next bus and let the driver know your next stop. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Gold Coast by shuttle, finishing the day relaxed and refreshed after a full day in the hinterland — all without the stress of driving or parking.

Your day begins with our Gold Coast Shuttle, which departs at 8:30 am and transfers you to Tamborine Mountain.

Arrive Tamborine Mountain

On arrival at Tamborine Mountain, the same bus transitions into the on-demand Hop On Hop Off service. The driver will pause to provide a clear explanation of how the service works, including stops, timing and how to re-join the bus throughout the day.

Hop On Hop Off – Free Time on the Mountain

Approx. 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

Guests can:

Visit national parks, rainforest walks, waterfalls and lookouts
Explore cafés, restaurants and shops on Gallery Walk
Visit wineries, breweries and distilleries
Access optional attractions such as Glow Worm Caves or Rainforest Skywalk (own expense unless added)

Guests simply advise the driver of their preferred stop and re-join the next bus when ready.
